Steamboat Springs, CO - Retreat into the calm coolness of the Bud Werner Memorial Library. Grab a book, enjoy the air conditioning and get comfortable in a plush chair by the window overlooking the Yampa River. Steamboat’s public library is located just off Lincoln Avenue on the west end of downtown, and serves as a much needed escape from the heat and chaos that summer brings. The library is open every day, from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. on Fridays, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on the weekends.
Catch one of the library’s many events upstairs in Library Hall. To find upcoming events like author talks and film viewings, visit www.steamboatlibrary.org/events/month.
Got kids in tow? Bring them to one of the library’s weekly storytimes or walk through the pages of Steamboat StoryWalk. For directions to StoryWalk, visit https://steamboatlibrary.org/youth/steamboat-storywalk.
