Steamboat Springs, CO - The entertainment never ends in Steamboat Springs. After a long summer day, wind down (or rev up!) with some live music.
Strings kicks off their summer festival on Friday, June 21, with a performance by Emmylou Harris, who shook up country music in the 1970s and earned 14 Grammys, three CMA awards and four Americana Awards over the course of her career. The music continues on through Sunday, Aug. 25, with singers and bands like Melissa Etheridge, The Mavericks and Brandy Clark. Music on the Green offers free performances every Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Yampa River Botanic Park. Check the schedule and buy tickets at www.stringsmusicfestival.com.
Snow Bowl’s free Summer Music Fest returns on Saturday, May 25, with a special opening weekend called “Waking the Giant,” featuring four bands in one day, from 2-10 p.m. The series will continue every Wednesday beginning May 29 through Sept. 25, and also includes four Sunday evening shows. Steamboat Free Summer Concerts offer a family-friendly atmosphere to jam to live music. Bring a picnic blanket or chairs and arrive early to snag a spot on the lawn below Howelsen Hill.
