Yampa Valley Medical Center Recognized as Top 20 Rural and Community Hospital
UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center has again been identified as one of the Top 20 Rural & Community Hospitals in America by the National Rural Health Association. The Top 20 list is derived from the Chartis Center for Rural Health’s Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals 2023 list, on which YVMC was again recognized. NRHA’s Top 20 Rural & Community Hospital winners have the highest ranking of the aggregate scores across the eight pillars of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX, which are inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspective, cost, charge and financial efficiency.
“I am incredibly proud of the staff and providers at YVMC. These awards are a testament to what they do every day to improve the lives of our patients,” said Soniya Fidler, president of UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center. “We do not apply or submit data to be considered for these recognitions. They are due to the safe, high-quality care and positive patient experience to which every person on our team contributes – both those who directly deliver care and those who support it.”
In addition to the 2023 recognitions, YVMC has received the Top 20 Rural & Community Hospital recognition in 2016, 2019, 2021 and 2022, and the Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital recognition in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, respectively.
