When it comes to fun-filled summer activities, the options are endless in the Yampa Valley. From hiking and biking to miniature golf and tubing the Yampa River, Steamboat Springs is the ideal setting for your mountain adventure.

Start your morning with a scenic walk, jog or bike along the Yampa Rive Core Trail, a 7.5-mile paved trail running through the heart of Steamboat Springs. Take a quick detour along the way at one of Steamboat Springs’ many parks – Fetcher Park, Emerald Park and Little Toots Park are popular options – for a pick up game of ultimate frisbee or soccer.

Round up a group of friends and perfect your swing with a morning round of golf at one of Steamboat’s several courses: Catamount Ranch & Club, Haymaker Golf Course, Steamboat Golf Club and Rollingstone Ranch Golf club. Each features a beautiful landscape and picturesque mountain backdrops.

Gather the kiddos for a day of miniature golf, laser tag and other kid-friendly activities at Amaze’n Steamboat. Or roll strikes and gutter balls at Snow Bowl on the west end of town. Offering 12 bowling lanes, arcade games, a patio, and great food and drinks, Snow Bowl offers something for the entire family.

Load up the kayaks and paddleboards and beat the heat in the waters surrounding Steamboat. While tubing the Yampa River is a popular option in the summertime, you can also escape to one of the nearby lakes for boating and swimming with breathtaking views. Pack a picnic and take the family to Stagecoach Reservoir or Steamboat Lake and enjoy the scenery on a sunny summer day.

Whether you’re visiting town with family and kids, a group of friends, or as a solo traveler, Steamboat Springs is the ultimate summer playground.
