What would it mean to you to qualify and compete in the Olympics?
Competing in the Olympics has been a life long goal for me! It would mean a lot to me personally, but it would mean even more to represent Steamboat, and add to the Olympian total.

What role has family played in your success?
My mom has always reminded me to make sure I am happy and having fun, and that the result isn’t everything. My dad is always there to reinforce that I can achieve success at the highest level.

What’s the hardest part about being an elite-level cross-country skier?
Definitely managing life outside of training. I love every part of training and working hard, but to be a top-level skier, that’s only half the task. Rest and recovery are very important to being successful, and I have a hard time doing nothing.

What's your go-to meal before a competition?
One hundred percent of the time, I eat oatmeal with maple syrup, peanut butter, raisins and a banana.

Do you have lucky charms or superstitions before a competition?
I have a lucky pair of socks that I like to wear. My mom gave them to me and it always reminds me that she is there cheering for me, even if she is not at the race.

Favorite activities off the slopes?
Playing tennis with my sister, biking with my friends or DJing.

What do you see yourself doing after skiing?
I have always wanted to be a pilot, so I see myself going to pilot school or joining the AirForce.
