WinterWonderGrass Colorado Announces Stacked Grass After Dark Late-Night Series & Local Beer Partners

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO – Yesterday, WinterWonderGrass Colorado, set to take place over February 25–27, 2022 at Steamboat Resort in Steamboat Springs, CO, announced its Grass After Dark series and beer partners for the 2022 event.
As with past iterations of WinterWonderGrass CO, the festival will host a series of separately ticketed late-night shows on the mountain at the Thunderhead Lodge, at the resort base's Steamboat Grand, and downtown at Schmiggity's. All tickets to events hosted at the Thunderhead Lodge include gondola access and the free bus throughout Steamboat Springs provides easy downtown access to the Schmitggity's shows.
On Friday, February 25, the Thunderhead Lodge will see late-night performances by all-female neo-grass ensemble Big Richard co-billed alongside the WinterWonderWoman, Pickin' on the Dead featuring Rob Eaton of Dark Star Orchestra will take over the Steamboat Grand and Cris Jacobs with Drunken Hearts will perform at Schmiggity's.
The following night, Saturday, February 26, Yonder Mountain String Band takes over the Thunderhead Lodge, FREESKIER presents Big Something at the Steamboat Grand and The Ghost of Paul Revere and Morsel will play at Schmiggity's.
The final performance of the WinterWonderGrass Colorado 2022 season will be the WWG All-Stars hosted by Andy Thorn, Jon Stickley & Mark Levy featuring many special guests at the Steamboat Grand on Sunday, February 27.
Tickets for all late-night shows are on sale now and a limited quantity of weekend passes to the festival are still available but moving fast. All tickets can be purchased here. Outside of the musical offerings, a weekend ticket to WinterWonderGrass also includes a complimentary beer tasting across all three days of the festival. This year, the Colorado-edition of the festival welcomes local favorites Oskar Blues, Upslope, Spiked Snowmelt, Wibby Brewing, 4 Noses, Left Hand Brewing, Odell Brewing Co., Tres Litros Beer Co. and Fiction Beer Company. Additionally, Steamboat Springs-based breweries Mountain Tap Brewery, Yampa Valley Brewing Co. and Storm Peak Brewing join for the 2022 beer tasting. If fans are eager to try brews from outside Colorado, regional breweries Sierra Nevada and Accomplice Beer Co. will be on-site, as well Vermont-based Lawson's Finest Liquids.
2022 marks a decade and the ninth installment of WinterWonderGrass Colorado—the very first presentation of the festival took place in the winter of 2013 in a parking lot in Edwards, CO. Over the last decade, the festival grew, added new stops—including Tahoe, CA—and withstood the test of a global pandemic, which encouraged festival's presenters to re-imagine how to connect fans and musicians outside in the wide open spaces of Colorado. WinterWonderGrass Colorado 2022 is no different.
