WinterWonderGrass Returns to Steamboat in 2022

Ticket prices will increase on November 10th and 24th with the 3rd and 4th headliner announcements, respectively. However, the highly-anticipated return of the Colorado-edition of WinterWonderGrass is already 50% sold and is likely to sell out for the ninth consecutive year. Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early and trust the announcements-to-come will not disappoint.
Perseverance. The team at Bonfire Entertainment knows the embodiment of this word well. After the global pandemic put a hold on music—including two of WinterWonderGrass's 2020 stops—Bonfire Entertainment re-imagined what COVID-era music gatherings looked like. Whether it was the very special river voyages of RiverWonderGrass over the summers of 2020 and 2021, or two days of Billy Strings in Buena Vista, CO for the first annual Renewal this past September, Bonfire Entertainment has reiterated music gatherings can take place, safely, outdoors year-round, and that they do it best.
"To simply say we missed our community, the WinterWonderGrass vibrations, and the snow-covered festival is perhaps the understatement of my lifetime,” says festival founder and producer, Scotty Stoughton. “What gets me up in the morning is knowing this is exactly what the universe intended for me to do. While we didn't sit idle, we certainly felt the hole in our hearts. But now we get to redeem ourselves, take the pent-up energy of two years and fill the fireworks. Can't wait to light the fuse, host our village and get back to creating memories of a lifetime."
2022 marks a decade and the ninth installment of WinterWonderGrass Colorado—the very first presentation of the festival took place in the winter of 2013 in a parking lot in Edwards , CO. Over the last decade, the festival grew, added new stops—including Tahoe, CA—and withstood the test of a global pandemic, which encouraged festival's presenters to re-imagine how to connect fans and musicians outside in the wide open spaces of Colorado. WinterWonderGrass Colorado 2022 is no different.
The 2022 iteration of WinterWonderGrass Colorado has already shared that Trampled by Turtles, a highly-anticipated return of Yonder Mountain String Band, The Travelin' McCourys, Sierra Hull, Lindsay Lou, and Tejon Street Corner Thieves will grace the bill.
Additionally, the festival is excited to announces performance by Kitchen Dwellers, The War and Treaty, Molly Tuttle, Ghost of Paul Revere, Dustbowl Revival, Cris Jacobs Band, Pickin' on the Dead, Buffalo Commons, Sticks and Thorns, The Sweet Lillies, Drunken Hearts, Morsel and Joy Roemer Band. In true WinterWonderGrass fashion, unique collaborative sets will also take place, with the return of WinterWonderWomen and the debut of the RiverWonderGrass All-Stars. The Colorado-edition of WinterWonderGrass is known to sell out in advance so interested attendees are urged to grab their GA tickets soon. VIP tickets are already sold out, but fans can sign up to snag tickets via the festival's official fan-to-fan ticket exchange, powered by Lyte. Tickets and more information are available here.
As with past WinterWonderGrass Colorado events, a free show at the base of Steamboat Resort will kick off the festivities on Thursday, February 24th from 2–5 PM. A separately-ticketed Tram to Table Dinner* featuring the Travelin' McCourys will take place thereafter, from 5–9 PM at the top of Steamboat's Mt. Werner.
