STEAMBOAT SPRINGS – It’s slated to be a busy end to the month for the food and beverage industry here in Steamboat Springs. As the leaves begin to change, temperatures drop and the season transitions into fall, annual culinary events return to the forefront of Steamboat Springs.

The events kick off this weekend with the 12th annual Steamboat OktoberWest. Beer lovers from near and far gather in celebration of craft beer, live music, food and more. Usually, the event is held at the base of Steamboat Resort, but due to the redevelopment and construction occurring at the resort, the event will be held this year at the Wildhorse Marketplace.

Taste locally crafted beer from Mountain Tap Brewery and Storm Peak Brewery. Sip on local libations from Steamboat’s only distillery, Steamboat Whiskey Company. Join the beer enthusiasts and 30 brewers on Saturday, September 18 for an afternoon full of festivities.

Experience the vibrant fall colors in the mountains at the iconic Steamboat Food & Wine Festival, September 23-26, 2021. Featuring talented chefs and wine experts from across the country, this annual event is a multi-day culinary experience for food and wine lovers. Join local chefs Kent Hall of Taco Cabo; Joe Campbell of Bésame, Mambo and Yampa Valley Kitchen; and Collin Kelly of Primrose for special, curated dinners. Taste wine from around the world with professional sommeliers or learn about the art of the old fashioned from Mark Stanford, mixologist and beverage director of Truffle Pig and Carl’s Tavern. Visit www.SteamboatFoodandWine.com for event information.

End the month of September celebrating culinary favorites during Steamboat’s Restaurant Week. The event’s slogan, “Satisfying a mountain of appetites,” assures there is something for all tastebuds. Sample some of Steamboat’s best local offerings September 24–October 2, 2021. For a complete list of participating restaurants, visit www.mainstreetsteamboat.com/restaurant-week/.
