STEAMBOAT SPRINGS - Remote rivers, pristine white water, deserted beach campsites, gourmet meals, oh, and sweet bluegrass music resonating off the canyon walls from Buffalo Commons...Welcome to RiverWonderGrass. For the last 100,000 years, the human race has been at home within natural landscapes, where intuition is clear, and where we’re in rhythm with the planet.

Only recently have we bombarded our minds with electronics, endless consumption, pollution, and growth. Introducing RiverWonderGrass, a venture between the WinterWonderGrass Festival and Adrift Dinosaur River Adventures, setting out on its maiden voyage, August 28, 2020, with members of Steamboat Springs band Buffalo Commons, the trip is on sale now.

“I have long dreamed of sharing the mystical and rejuvenating powers of an overnight river trip, and I'm happy to announce that that time is now.  Float and paddle the majestic Gates of Lodore through Dinosaur National Monument and completely unravel. These trips offer an opportunity to shed the stresses, removing the phones, social media, and media bombardment of our daily lives and return us to what is real. The transformation starts with the first paddle stroke and evolves day after day. This is a journey that will return you more spiritually and emotionally satiated, physically alive, and mentally clear. See you on the river!”

RiverWonderGrass came to fruition out of the desire to bring musicians and friends together on a journey through the heart of desert canyons; where empty sand beaches, outlaw caves, majestic hikes, and silent floats are combined with healthy food, healing arts, and the space to reconnect with the inner spirit.

This RiverWonderGrass trip is a 4-day, 44-mile journey from the Gates of Lodore through the canyon to Split Mountain, UT, accommodating up to 20 patrons, with spots starting at $1,100 per person. This [RiverWonderGrass] trip includes all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), all equipment, guides, music, and experiences. Tips and alcoholic beverages are not included. The trip operates within National Park Guidelines and protocols.

About Adrift Dinosaur

Adrift Adventures started in 1980 with the goal of providing better rafting and learning adventures than anyone else on the rivers we run. We’re an open-hearted community of adventurers, seekers, pilgrims, travelers, musicians, and stewards. We draw inspiration from the explorers, pioneers, and protectors of the rivers and canyons that came before us. We believe in exacting positive influence to help inspire a new generation of stewards, extreme athletes, and adventurers that will continue a legacy of environmental activism and stewardship. We are Foremost River women and River men.
