STEAMBOAT SPRINGS – Mythology Distillery presents Steamboat Cocktail Hour with the recipes below. 

 Blackberry Whiskey Smash

•  2oz Hell Bear Whiskey
•  Several blackberries
•  3/4oz lemon juice
•  1/2oz simple syrup 

Muddle blackberries, lemon and simple in a shaker. Add Whiskey, shake and serve over ice.

 Classic Old Fashioned

•  2 oz Hell Bear American Whiskey
•  ¼ oz simple syrup
•  2 dashes aromatic bitters

 

Pour all ingredients over ice in a mixing glass. Stir 30 times and strain over a big ice cube in a rocks glass.

Looking to get creative – switch out the simple syrup with Tamarind or cardamom syrup by combining 2 cups water, ¼ cup tamarind or cardamom and 1 cup sugar. Add to pot, heat and whisk until dissolved. Use 2 dash lemon bitters instead of aromatic.

Classic Daiquiri

•  2 oz Feather Jester Rum
•  ¾ oz lime juice
•  ½ oz simple syrup 

 

Pour all ingredients in a shaker tin with ice. Shake and stain into a coupe glass. 

Looking to get creative – make a chili lime daiquiri by switching out the ¾ oz simple syrup for ½ oz chili liquor like Ancho Reyes and then add two dash of aromatic bitters.

 Lavender Lemonade 

•  2 oz Jungle Cat Vodka
•  ¾ oz lavender syrup*
•  ¾ oz lemon juice

 

Build over ice in a Collins glass, stir and top with a splash of soda.

*to make the black pepper syrup  – combine 1 cups water, 3 tablespoon lavender flowers and 2 cups sugar. Add to pot, heat and whisk until dissolved.

Mango Pepper Tiki Cocktail

•  2 oz Feather Jester Rum
•  ¾ oz Jumex mango nectar juice
•  ½ oz lime juice
•  ¼ oz amaretto
•  ¼ oz black pepper syrup*
•  2 dash aromatic bitters

 

Pour all ingredients in a shaker tin with ice. Shake and dump into a tiki glass .

*to make the black pepper syrup  – combine 2 cups water, ½ tablespoon black pepper and ¾ cup sugar. Add to pot, heat and whisk until dissolved.

Gin & Ginger (easy camping alternative to the Whiskey Ginger)

•  2 oz Needle Pig Gin
•  Splash of lime
•  Top off with Ginger Beer

 Build in a cup with ice, stir, enjoy the outdoors!
