STEAMBOAT SPRINGS – Incredibly talent individuals call the Yampa Valley home because of recruitment efforts at the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. The founder of Replenish IV Therapies is one of these people.

Intravenous therapy services started to take off six years ago in a place one might suspect: Las Vegas. The business model spread like wildfire and caught the attention of Dawn Cook, owner of Replenish IV Therapies in downtown Steamboat Springs.

Cook has 12 years of experience as registered nurse. She was working in pain management just over two years ago, sharing a space with an esthetician, when she was asked to create an IV service and menu. “I learned quickly that clients were feeling really great,” Cook says. “I wanted to expand the service, but on my own.”

She attended a conference and spent hours researching how other businesses with the same service were offering their product. “I learned about all the dosages and nutrients, what mixes well together and the role of each nutrient,” Cook says.

“All the nutrients do different things – B vitamins increase your energy, magnesium for your muscles, taurine for your nervous system, vitamin C is an antioxidant, glutathione detoxes,” she says. Whatever your body is lacking, Cook has you covered.

In addition to her health boosting services, she has created a spa-like environment to assist in the comfort of her clients – expect calm music and aromatherapy in comfortable lounger chairs for the infusion, which takes about an hour.

“Our services are geared toward healthy adults; I’m not treating anyone for illness or disease,” Cook says. She’s helping the community and its visitors boost their health and wellness, enhance athletic performance, and alleviate symptoms caused by cold and flu, altitude sickness, hangovers, migraine headaches and food poisoning.

“You don’t have to be sick to receive IV therapy – it’s beneficial no matter your state of health. However, getting an IV when you’re sick can shorten the duration and lessen the symptoms of your illness.”

Cook expresses gratitude for living in Routt County and having the opportunity to own her own business. “Most RNs don’t have the opportunity to own their own business; we’re usually working directly with doctors in facilities,” she says. “Being an RN and being able to find something different and unique to do while being my own boss is awesome. It’s rare and cool.”

Educating people about the service, why it’s good for you and who can benefit from it is at the forefront of Replenish IV Therapies’ mission. IV Therapies can be found in every major city. Cook offers a scheduled mobile service to large groups, provided in the comfort of their living rooms. Visit https://www.replenishivtherapies.comfor more information.
