STEAMBOAT SPRINGS – Hairstylists throughout the Yampa Valley will head to Rex’s Grill on July 23 to participate in the “Fundamentals of Building Your Clientele” workshop with Summit Salon Business Center, the world’s largest salon and spa consulting company.

“This workshop is useful because it grows awareness of good salon practices, and it offers a more professional way of doing things,” says Chris Brunner, owner of Wildhorse Salon. “When you work in a team atmosphere, it’s important to have continued education.”

Sharmaine Giorgio, the facilitator of the workshop, is a 25-year salon owner and one of the first salon owners to graduate from the Summit Program. The Summit Program is a salon leadership and business-building event that provides comprehensive experience specifically targeted to help create the exceptionally-led, highly profitable, team-driven, sales-oriented salon culture.

Giorgio will bring her decades of experience to Routt County stylists, offering insight into mastering guest retention, knowing when it’s safe to raise your prices, how to recommend products without sounding pushy, planning your day to maximize potential and using planning and tracking to increase overall income.

The workshop takes place from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Monday, July 23 for a $25 fee which includes lunch.
