Australian snowboarder Belle Brockhoff fought through the pain after re-injuring the ACL in her knee that she tore a year ago. The injury resurfaced two months ago, as a result, Brockoff making the Olympics was a surprise to many. Her strength and dedication outweighed the injury- she earned a spot in semifinals of the women’s snowboard cross race.
“I was going for number one, I always go for gold,” Brockhoff said after the race in Pyeongyang. I tried my best and that’s what it is.”
"At the end of the day I wasn’t the fastest today but I’ll come back and be faster than these girls. It’s an incredible experience to be representing your country even if they know your body is falling apart on you."
“I want to come back stronger than ever,” Brockhoff said.
