Steamboat Springs, CO (May 1, 2015) -- Moots Cycles today announced Butch Boucher, a 19-year veteran of the company, has been named the new President of Moots Cycles. Boucher will oversee all aspects of the company including strategic planning, product development, operations, finance, marketing and sales.

"Butch is a well-respected industry veteran who's played a key role over the years helping Moots emerge as a premier titanium brand," said Chris Miller Moots' Owner and Chairman of the Board. "With a deep background in Moots' product development, a wealth of experience, a clear understanding of our business, and solid industry relationships, Butch is an excellent choice to lead Moots going forward."

Boucher succeeds Mike Sanders as President. Sanders has a long and storied history with Moots dating back to the early '90's contributing more significantly to the growth and operational efficiency of Moots than any other employee. His new, less than full-time, role as Controller and Vice President of Special Projects will allow him to enjoy more free time to pursue his many interests.

"I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to lead an exceptional group of people dedicated to building the finest titanium bicycle frames and components available. Every member of the Moots team is motivated to produce quality products ensuring the best ride possible," said Butch Boucher, President of Moots. "Mike has put Moots in a great position and coupled with my understanding of the handbuilt process and our customer's expectations, Moots is poised for continued success."

Boucher arrived at Moots in 1996 already familiar with American hand built bicycle manufacturing. He co-founded Co-Motion Cycles in 1988 with Dwan Shepard, partnering to guide the company through 1995. In 1996 Butch joined Moots as a welder. During his tenure at Moots, Boucher's various roles have included Lead Welder, Production Manager, Marketing, CNC Programming and Machinist, and most recently, Product Development and Quality Control Manager.
