CLARK, Colo. —The Home Ranch is excited to announce two Vintner Events this winter in the Colorado high country with special guests from Sutcliffe Vineyards, Leonetti Cellar and DoubleBack Wines. These wine enthusiasts will take you through their travels, culture and traditions, all of which played an integral role in the inspiration behind each of their wines. During the day, couples will enjoy miles of groomed Nordic trails and endless backcountry activities; in the evening, couples will experience new wines paired with delectable farm-to-table cuisine.

John Sutcliffe, owner of Sutcliffe Vineyards, joined the ranch for its first Farm Kitchen Wine Dinner in August 2014 and will return for another memorable event at The Home Ranch. Sutcliffe Vineyards is a boutique winery set on 36 acres at the foot of Sleeping Ute Mountain in southwestern Colorado. Winemaker Joe Buckel takes pride in his attention to detail and ability to make great, balanced wines in Colorado’s harsh environment. Sutcliffe Vineyards was recently named one of America’s 500 Best Wine Producers and is included in the Food & Wine: Wine Guide 2015. As Home Ranch progresses deeper into the farm-to-table movement, John's Colorado grown wines provide the right food-friendliness for the ranch’s fresh, haute mountain fare.

In February, Home Ranch will welcome Chris Figgins from Leonetti Cellar in Washington’s Walla Walla Valley. For more than 35 years, the Figgins Family has pioneered winemaking in Washington State, growing and producing world-class wines and educating others about sustainable farming and soil health. Accompanying Chris to the event is former Superbowl Quarterback Drew Bledsoe and his highly acclaimed DoubleBack collection. After retiring from the NFL, Drew reconnected with Chris in his hometown of Walla Walla to pursue his dream of owning a winery and now Chris consults on all winemaking and viticulture practices – DoubleBack is a true collaboration from dirt to bottle.

Couples will enjoy exciting outdoor activities during the day, then can relax and prepare to be wowed by a multi-course dinner created by Home Ranch chefs using fresh produce and local proteins. Every course is crafted with the vintners’ wines in mind so as to produce the perfect pairing and an amazing wine tasting experience. At the conclusion of each event, guests can take a glass of their favorite wine back to their room for a relaxing evening under the starry Colorado sky.
