Musicfest at Steamboat Tent & Knoll Lot Closure

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO-December 30, 2014-Starting Friday, January 2, 2015, the MusicFest at Steamboat Tent, an 100' x 180' tent providing more than 18,000 square feet of concert space, will be erected in the north portion of the Ski Area's Knoll Lot during the first part of January.

 

The festival tent will start to go up Friday, January 2 and remain in the northwest portion of the Knoll Lot through and including Monday, January 12. The closed portion of the Knoll Lot is expected to be available for parking again early that same week. In addition, the lower Knoll triangle lot will also be closed for event purposes. The Knoll Lot is located on Mt. Werner Circle, across from the Gondola Square Transportation Center.

 

The resort will continue to offer parking in the south half of the Knoll Lot (free), the Meadows Lot (free) and the Gondola Square Parking Structure (pay) for guests. In addition, the SST offers a FREE comprehensive system of bus transportation between the ski area transportation center, downtown and most condominium locations.

This year, MusicFest at Steamboat will feature four free shows which will rock Gondola Square with a daily sampling of high-octane music from some of the top performers in the country.  The action kicks off with the Turnpike Troubadours, followed by Jack Ingram and the Beat Up Ford Band on Tuesday, Jan. 6; Jonathan Tyler on Wednesday, Jan. 7; Dirty River Boys on Thursday, Jan. 8; and Bri Bagwell on Friday, Jan. 9.  All shows start around 1:00pm.

MusicFest at Steamboat is the ONLY festival that brings the finest Texas and Americana music to the snow swept Colorado Rockies for a full week of sport and song. Fifty bands will perform more than 100 hours of live genuine music over the six days festival in the heart of the Rocky Mountains featuring four days of free après-ski concerts, evening concerts and special engagements throughout the week including more than 60 live performances from an increasingly diverse line up of artists with styles ranging from country to rock, blues to bluegrass, folk and western swing, and everything in between.
