15 Steamboat Athletes Head to Sochi

One reigning world champion, two sets of siblings and America's only six-time Winter Olympian lead the contingency of skiers and riders with strong Steamboat ties who are headed to Sochi for the 2014 Winter Games.
Reigning world champion halfpipe rider Arielle Gold will represent the U.S., along with her brother, Taylor. They will be joined by brothers Taylor and Bryan Fletcher, who will represent the U.S. in Nordic Combined. Billy Demong and Todd Lodwick, both of whom have strong Steamboat ties, round out the Nordic Combined team. Lodwick, is the only American to be selected for six Olympic teams; that ties the overall Olympic record.
A total fo 15 Steamboat skiers and riders have been named to Olympic teams.
