The City Utilities Division is responsible for:
• Inspections- water and sewer lines, meter assemblies
o Inspections to be scheduled through the Utilities Engineer- (970) 871-8207
o Meter inspections to be scheduled through the Meter Technician at (970) 871-2750.
o All inspections require a 24-hour notice.
• Plant Investment Fees (PIFs)- tap fees
o PIF calculation- (970) 871-8207 for an appointment
• Taps- water and sewer main line taps within city
o Tap schedule- (970) 871-6303
• Meter Replacement/ Reading- you must purchase your water meter from the city of Steamboat Springs
o To pick up a meter- Meter Technician at (970) 871-2750
o All meter repairs are done by the Meter Tech.
