Penguin Plunge to Benefit Yampa Valley Medical Center
Call it Spring fever or mid-Winter madness – for the 11th year in a row many will gather to take the icy plunge into the pool at Catamount. Volunteers use chainsaws to cut through approximately three feet of ice to reveal the inviting water below. Fundraising “Penguins” – many in costumes dancing to their choice of music – will jump, cannon-ball, or be thrown into the chilly water and then rush to relief in the nearby hot tub!
