Cocktails and Cookie Creations Event

On May 30, 2013, the Girl Scouts of Colorado will host the inaugural Cocktails & Cookie Creations event. The funds raised will benefit the Girl Scouts in Routt County. Steamboat Motors and the Craig Scheckman Family Foundation top a long list of community sponsors making the event possible. “We at Steamboat Motors love to support the Girl Scouts. It is a great organization for the youth in Steamboat Springs,” commented John Centner, General Manager, Steamboat Motors. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and lasts until 8:30 p.m. It will be held at the Catamount Ranch & Club Golf Course in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Tickets cost $35 in advance and $40 at the door; they may be purchased at All That Jazz or online at Admission includes appetizers and two drink coupons, as well as an entry to win one of several valuable prize baskets. Guests may purchase additional entries with a donation. Todd Musselman will provide live entertainment. The savory appetizers, all made with real Girl Scout Cookies, include Lemon & Almond Crusted Shrimp with Cilantro Pesto, prepared by Chef Heather Craigen, Moving Mountains; Lamp Chop Thin Mint Mole, prepared by Chef Dan Hoffman, Catamount Ranch & Club, Lake House; Chicken Satay with Spice Do-si-dos Sauce, prepared by Chef Ben Hunt, Catamount Ranch & Club, Golf Course; Ancho Tenderloin Crostini, prepared by Chef Joe, Creekside Café; Shrimp Mole with Pineapple Salsa, prepared by Chef Cholly McGlynn, Vista Verde Ranch; and Samoa Crab Cakes, prepared by Chef Midnight Wahya, The Steamboat Grand.
