Make It At Home: Bésame’s Iced Cafe Olé

In Steamboat Springs, restauranter Hannah Hopkins curates extensive beverage menus from an all-day mocktail menu, rotating daily mocktail special and 12+ seasonal lattes at Yampa Valley Kitchen, to over 40 Spanish wines at Bésame, to an Italian-inspired cocktail menu at Mambo Italiano. Between the three concepts, Hannah regularly has more than 40 mostly original cocktails. 

Now you can make one at home, with this recipe for Bésame’s Iced Cafe Olé:

Glass: Fancy rocks

Ingredients:
1 oz. Panama Pacific 9 
.5 oz. Licor 43
.75 oz. allspice syrup (recipe below)
1 shot espresso
1 tablespoon of cream

Garnish: Cinnamon dash

Directions: Add all the ingredients to the glass. Add ice and slowly pour cream to the top. Garnish with a dash of cinnamon. 

Allspice & Cinnamon Syrup:
¼ cup allspice berries
1 cinnamon stick
½ qt sugar

Combine ingredients in a jar. Top with two cups of hot water, stir until dissolved. Let steep overnight and then remove spices.
