Agriculture History Talks at the More and Arnold Barns

Hosted by Tread of Pioneers Museum

Join the Tread of Pioneers Museum at the historic More and Arnold Barns for FREE agricultural history talks this summer. 5th generation native and museum board member, Krista Monger will share the history of these two magnificent barns and first-hand accounts of our local agricultural heritage. Also hear the story of the enormous community efforts that saved and preserved these two historic structures.

Monger's family has been ranching in Steamboat Springs for over a century. She and her family run a successful beef cow/calf operation in the lower Elk River Valley.

Directions: Meet at the More Barn on Angel's View Way (off Pine Grove Rd. across from Central Park Plaza). After a short talk at the More Barn, the group will move up to the Arnold Barn on Mount Werner Circle.

Special COVID-19 Precautions: Until further notice, group size limited to 9 people; masks are required and social distancing. First come first served.

FREE event but donations to the museum greatly appreciated.

Co-sponsored by Historic Routt County who led the efforts to preserve these iconic structures.
