Film Collective gathering: peer feedback & workshop
CONNECT WITH PEERS IN THE FILM AND VIDEO WORLD. Bring a clip (up to 5 minutes), a script, a story idea, a cocktail napkin budget, or any other film-related goodness you're noodling.
FREE Gathering: Work you share can be at any stage of creative evolution: pollywog to butterfly, storyboard to finecut, brainstorm to first draft of Oscar acceptance speech. We're all filmmaking peers and these gatherings are always moderated: we'll make sure criticism is constructive, beauty is lauded, and cinema sins are forgiven.
Main gathering is 6:30-8pm then stick around for this month's bonus half hour of focused content from our member Aimee Kimmey. She'll talk about STORY BUILDING: how she goes from from harebrained idea to 120 pages of screenplay. We think we'll find this useful for all our projects: short videos to full features, fiction and non-fiction, harebrained or tortoise-brained.
ABOUT MFC: We're building a cooperative community of filmmakers located here in the Yampa Valley (and those who wish they were). Each month we'll share new work, get feedback, connect with like-minded creatives, elevate our craft, and help one another find funds so we can do more of what we love to do.
