Here’s some really good news for a change: Seminars at Steamboat will have a full 2020 Season!

Although most of the traditional summer events in Steamboat Springs have been cancelled, we are bringing you our full season online. While we will miss the ambience of the Strings Pavilion, you will find what you expect each year—recognized authorities presenting thoughtful and non-partisan discussions on some of the most important current national and international topics. And you’ll be able to ask questions of our speakers, as always.

You can look forward to these five exceptional talks:

July 13: "The 2020 Election in a Time of Pandemic"
AMY WALTER
The national editor of the Cook Political Report and host of WNYC's The Takeaway (Politics with Amy Walter)returns in response to many requests following her 'sold out' talk last summer.

July 20" "Immigration in the Time of COVID:Consequences for Election 2020"
AMNA NAWAZ
Amna Nawaz is the senior national correspondent and primary substitute anchor of PBS NewsHour.

July 27: "Leadership and Geopolitics in the Time of Coronavirus"
ADMIRAL JAMES STAVRIDIS
Former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO and dean emeritus of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.

August 3: "Our Freshwater Future: Building Water Security in a Changing World"
DR. SANDRA POSTEL
Founding Director of the Global Water Policy Project.

August 10: "Cyber Hacking and the 2020 Election"
KATHLEEN HALL JAMIESON
Director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania and co-founder of FactCheck.org

All events will be offered live, Mondays at 5:30PM MDT. They will also be recorded and posted on our website and our YouTube channel, and they will be available on KUNC public radio at KUNC.org’s Seminars Podcast landing page.

Your support of Seminars at Steamboat continues to be essential. We need you to still be our Friends. Please consider a donation of $100 or more.

Although we’ll miss seeing you in person, we look forward to you joining us in our great online migration this summer. And we anticipate being able to see each other again in person in the summer of 2021!
