STEAMBOAT SPRINGS- Bésame is pleased to announce that Restaurateur Hannah Hopkins and Executive Chef Joseph Campbell will bring their sophisticated Latin Fusion and hot global flavors from historic Steamboat Springs, Colorado to NYC in their first appearance at the James Beard Foundation on September 26, 2019.

Guests will feel transported to our beautiful Rocky Mountain home as they are treated to a memorable dining experience featuring exotic flavors paired with world class wines and craft cocktails that display the inspiration and creativity that arise from living in a world-class resort town.

Building on the continued success of sister restaurant and Steamboat staple Mambo’s, Bésame incorporates hip design, including classic and local art work with a sophisticated, yet welcoming menu.

Hannah Hopkins- “Bésame is the result of a creative and experienced team that shares a passion for food, art and music. I am excited to bring our taste of Steamboat to NYC where I began my career over 20 years ago.”

Born and raised in Minneapolis, Joe first made his way out to Steamboat in 2013 after beginning his career training under James Beard award-winning Chef Tim McKee and award-winning Chef Landon Schoenfeld. Joe’s passion for food and travel took him across Asia, where he had the unique opportunity to train under a former Chef for the Royal Family of Thailand. His cuisine is flavor-packed, authentic and highlights the sweet, salty, sour, spicy and savory flavors inspired by his travels.

Chef Campbell- “The opportunity to cook at the James Beard House is such an honor. The menu for the event was inspired by my world travels and by the world class chefs that trained me. It’s a menu that reflects everything I've learned and mastered over my career, like your favorite mixtape, it has a wide variety flavor, soul and passion.”
