Conductor Ernest Richardson Leads the SSO in Two Holiday Concerts on December 3, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. and December 4, 2011 at 5:00 P.M. at the Strings Music Pavilion, Steamboat Springs, Colorado
Steamboat Springs, CO – [insert today’s date] The Steamboat Symphony Orchestra, continuing its 20th anniversary celebration, rings in the winter season with two joyous performances. Both concerts feature the elegance of Bach’s Orchestral Suite #3 in D Major and Ralph Vaughan William’s The Lark Ascending, with soloist Teresa Steffen-Greenlee on the violin. Following a short intermission, the Yampa Valley Singers, local students and youth musicians join the SSO for several holiday selections, all inviting the audience to sing-along! As Colorado’s only resident orchestra in a resort town, audience members are sure to appreciate the intimacy and merriment of these two very special concerts. Tickets are on sale now and are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Youth tickets (ages 12-15) are $10 and children under 12 are $1. Tickets are available at All That Jazz, the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Assoc., the SSO Office at the Art Depot, by calling 870-3223, or online at http://SteamboatOrchestra.org.
