| TV-17 Offers FREE 24/7 Access to Content on Google
Steamboat Springs, CO - August 18, 2006
The Real Estate Network, operator of Steamboat Springs' only local TV station, today announced that it will provide free 24/7 access to all of TV-17's Featured Properties and original programming through Google Video.
TV-17 launched in Steamboat Springs in February 2004 to provide real estate information, local programming, community information, as well as, snow and weather reports to the Steamboat community.
According to the owner, Matt Windt, this is a step towards ensuring Steamboat Springs information is available to viewers, not just in Steamboat, but all over the world. "For the past four months we've been working to create new programming and to expand our audience beyond the reach of a local TV network."
Today, if a user enters the search phrase [Steamboat Real Estate] into the Google Video search at http://video.google.com the results will feature some of TV-17's Featured Properties and original programming.
What this means for advertisers is a much larger audience. Video as a marketing tool has so much utility. "It's not just about a TV commercial anymore. It's the ability to connect with someone emotionally and the ease of distribution to a broad audience. We believe this is the future of marketing."
