Join us for the unveiling of Carl Howelsen's bronze statue
When: Friday February 6, 2009
Time: 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm
Where: Howelsen Place Building,
Located at the corner of 7th and Lincoln
Leif Howelsen, Carl's son, has traveled all the way from Norway to unveil his father's statue. Leif Howelsen is honored to be Grand Marshall of this year's 96th Winter Carnival. The theme of this year's Carnival is "Grateful for Howelsen Hill". Barbara Robison, local artist, has been commissioned to create the sculpture that will be the centerpiece for Downtown Steamboat Springs.
