About the Artists ~
MARY LEVINGSTON - Mary's work is an ongoing education for her, as well as a challenge. Creating light, atmosphere and connection to a scene are her objectives in her watercolor paintings. Using the multitude of techniques available to artists is exciting, insightful and never ending. On Saturday, Mary will demonstrate watercolor painting techniques and insights on her 'Innerscapes'.
KIM KEITH - 'Kindred Spirits' are Kim's photographic visions of 'wild' through the worlds of Steamboat's beloved fictional character Audrey Rose and butterflies. This show features a collection of symbolic images of real butterflies fluttering around a beautiful woman and the unbridled joy that is captured through Kim's lens. Kim's Saturday demonstrations involve hand-coloring black and white photographs of Steamboat Springs.
LESLIE BELL - In Leslie's new work you will find simple yet complicated images of oil pastels on silk that depict impressionistic scenes of Steamboat. Scenes of trees in each of the phases of nature's seasons are a common theme throughout Leslie's work. Leslie will share her one-of-a-kind painting with oil sticks on raw silk, a technique that she created while studying her art.
