Old Town Hot Springs Announces Ski Season Specials
Soak up the good life with Family Fun and Triple Treat Packages
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO – No trip to Steamboat is complete without a few hours soaking
in its soothing hot springs. Old Town Hot Springs announces two new packages offering special
values for visitors during the 2008/2009 ski season.
“Long before people came to Steamboat Springs to ski, they traveled here to heal in our soothing
hot springs pool,” said Pat Carney, director of the Old Town Hot Springs. “Of course now you
need the healing powers of the springs to relax those tired muscles from playing in all the
powder.”
Because Steamboat was recognized as the #1 Family Ski Resort in the West by SKI Magazine,
Old Town Hot Springs knows families are looking for more new fun. The Family Fun Package
includes pool admission for two adults and two children, a 10-ride slide pass and towel rental for
the low price of $32*.
“Families are loving our new hot slides and especially the new climbing wall,” said Carney.
“Our location in downtown Steamboat Springs is easy to get to allowing more time for the
family enjoy their time together.”
For those needing a day off from the slopes, but still craving a workout, the Triple Treat Package
offers a one-day fitness membership and pool admission, combined with yoga or a fitness class
and a one-hour massage for just $80**.
“For decades Old Town Hot Springs has been meeting the recreational and good health needs of
the community and our visitors,” said Carney. “The Triple Treat package offers visitors a great
way to indulge at a great price.”
In 2008 Old Town Hot Springs completed a $5 million capital improvement project including
two custom-built 230-foot water slides, a new 3,000 square foot hot pool featuring a climbing
wall, waterfall, two fountains and plenty of room to enjoy the natural hot mineral water.
Additionally, two new smaller spa pools opened and the historic Heart Spring received new tile
rockwork and plaster.
All of Old Town Hot Springs’ eight pools are fed by the Heart Spring, a spring once used by the
Utes who spent summers in the area and later discovered by town founder James Crawford in
1875. Formerly named Steamboat Springs Health and Recreation Association, Old Town Hot
Springs has operated as a non-profit organization since 1935. Old Town Hot Springs is located
at 136 Lincoln Avenue, downtown Steamboat Springs, Colorado. For more information visit
