| Kick Off Party for the Downtown Main Street Shuttle – We all know how busy the downtown streets are in the summer time. Parking is a challenge at any time of year, but even more so in the summer. In order to get our cash registers to ring, our customers need to be able to park easily and get to our front doors. If you spend the entire working day moving your car every two hours, why not try the new Main Street Shuttle? With a bus leaving the Stockbridge parking lot every 10 minutes, what could be more convenient? No more moving cars around, expensive parking tickets or possibly getting “booted”. To understand how the shuttle works, there will be a kickoff party on Thursday, June 8 at the Stockbridge Center. From 4-6 PM, you will have the opportunity to ride the shuttle, learn how it works for yourself, have some goodies, get some local coupons just for riding. There will be a ribbon cutting and the new shuttle graphics will be revealed. Give it a try! What have you got to lose?
Farmers’ Market begins Saturday, June 17 – Expanded to include half of the courthouse lawn, the Second Annual Main Street Market gets underway at 8:00 AM. Come enjoy the best of the summer, meet your friends, and have a good time. Circle these dates on your calendar so you don’t miss out. June 17; July 1, 15 and 29; August 5 and 19; September 2.
18th Annual Mustang Roundup “Show and Shine” – Saturday, June 17 – Lincoln Avenue will be closed from 5th Street to 10th Street to accommodate the very impressive number of lovingly restored or pristinely cared-for Ford Mustangs. From 10 AM to 3 PM, potential customers will be walking up and down Lincoln to observe these beauties. What can we do to invite them into our stores and restaurants? With a ready made audience right on our doorsteps, it is up to us to entice them in.
