FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Drahota wins 2007 ACE Award for Meeting the Challenge of a Difficult Job

Denver, Colorado – Drahota was recently recognized with the Associated General Contractors of Colorado ACE (Award for Construction Excellence) for the Highmark located in Steamboat Springs. This award was presented to Drahota for Meeting the Challenge of a Difficult Job, Prime Contractor.

Located in the “heart” of the ski base, the Highmark was destined to leave a significant impact on residents and visitors. Making Highmark possible meant overcoming a troubled past, mastering a tight jobsite, and weathering the difficult winters. While the experience provided a challenge for one of the industry’s leading construction firms, the result is a real-life fairy tale – for Drahota and the future residents of Highmark.

The March 2007 completion of the 83,000-sq. ft., $18 million Highmark represents Drahota’s perseverance over a project that challenged the contractor at every turn. Despite the difficulties associated with record snowfall, a change in ownership, and the project’s high-profile nature, Drahota never gave up, going the extra mile to ensure the project lived up to its mission, “Work together, with a cooperative ‘can-do’ spirit, to produce a well-designed, skillfully constructed high-quality project that results in excellent customer satisfaction and positive community image.”

“Highmark was a very successful project considering the challenges we faced,” states Drahota President Terry Drahota. “Our team was proud to be a part of one of the most exclusive projects to date at the base of the mountain.”

With offices in Fort Collins and Steamboat Springs, Drahota has over 34 years of commercial and residential construction experience along the Front Range and in the Rocky Mountains.
