Top collegiate and FIS racers will race in Steamboat Springs Thursday, December 20th through Saturday, December 22nd, at the Murphy Roberts Holiday Classic. This marquee race was renamed in 2016 in honor of Murphy Roberts, a former SSWSC alpine athlete who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 22. This year the racers will arrive in Steamboat to the largest prize purse and awards package outside of the National Championships! This year, a partnership with the T2Foundation has increased the total prize money to $16,000, and a Murphy Roberts Holiday Classic Scholarship Award will be given for $1,000. The highlight of the races is the Night Race, held under the night lights of Howelsen Hill.
