STEAMBOAT SPRINGS- The first day of spring may have many people already thinking about landscaping and their home gardens. For those looking to get an early start, the mulch generated through the City of Steamboat Springs Christmas tree recycling program is now available to the public.

The mulch is located to the right of the entrance to the Howelsen Ice Complex (285 Howelsen Parkway). Participants will have to load their own vehicles, and the mulch will be available on a first come, first served basis throughout the day on Tuesday, March 20. 

The city asks that only residents and homeowners participate, please no contractors or commercial operations.
