Olympic Training Camp Underway

The U.S. Olympic Mogul Training Camp opened on VooDoo run the Park Smalley Freestyle Complex at the Steamboat Ski Area yesterday. For two hours, coaches, athletes and team photographers worked on style, jumps and lines. The team wasn't focused on high-speed, complete runs, but on putting together the pieces of a gold-medal showing. It was quite a show...and best yet, it was free. Hardly any skiers stopped by to watch; those that did had the finish area to themselves. Training continues through Tuesday a.m., with the Olympic Sendoff festivities set to begin Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. at the base of the gondola.
